Volleyball on the beach at Weston ? Believe it or not, its not all mud, there is
a little sandy bit near the sea-front and thats where the volleyball takes place
There is a 2-a-side competition for the beach Gods while the beached cods can take
part in the more relaxed 4-a-side leagues. There are mens, mixed and ladies leagues so there should be something for everyone
Its a great chance to muck around in the sand in the sun .
At least in theory we're in the sun - 2 years ago it was actually
rained off due to a water-logged beach !
Camping is at a great campsite 2 miles outside Weston which comes equipped with a
pool and a nearby pub
The evenings are usually spent in Weston where there are loads
of classy (?) restaurants and bars. The only drawback is the trip back to the campsite
after everything has closed. Its a long walk if you run out of cash for the taxi (heh Sharkey !)
Alternatively if you're getting a little soft, there are loads of bed and breakfasts
in Weston
Rating? 8/10. Fun on the sand !
